Lately I've been completely empty on artistic inspiration. I can't really figure out where it went, either. I'd like to use my extreme amount of summer free time to work on my photography or draw or write, but all my ideas are so.....flat. Art is such a lovely thing and it always makes me feel at home, so I'd really like to get back into the game. Maybe the best plan is to just walk around with my camera or pick up a piece of paper. Thoughts?

Well, it's good to carry the tools around to use when the inspiration comes - otherwise by the time you get home the inspiration may have gone elsewhere - like to S&TC reruns.
ReplyDeleteWith photos, sometimes it helps to have an idea before you start - obviously if there's an event the general idea is already there (i.e. climbing - shoot the climbing) - but often it is just an exercise in exploration - and the more you shoot the more ideas start to grow - have fun
